...JULY NEWSFLASH...

A brief update.

The Fossils played in Hillfoots/Iceys charity touch tourney last Saturday. We were bolstered by 4 outstanding prospects following negotiations with Icey: Mathew Ross (11), James Gibson (9), Jack McNicol (11), Bailey Taylor (10) they managed to carry John Gibson, Brian Robertson, Donald McNicol, Jim Norval ( the pacey quartet), Bruce Reid, Mike Tomney and Niel Ross to a won one, drew one, lost one result...outstanding!

The next Fossils game is 23 rd August ko 2.00pm at Linlithgow versus Linlithgow Peelers. This is planned to be a warm up for the Festival. But It would be great to get a good crowd so please spread the word and bring a friend. It would be great if we could raise a bit of money from touchline donations and a raffle. The Oldies Festival: the Fossils have 28 players in the squad who are training like olympians! Game days are 02, 04, 06 September...times to follow...come along and support your team!

We are looking to organise a dinner/dance in March 09, as a "start of season thing" We are also looking to put together a     "Fossils International Touch Tournament" at Falkirk RFC in August 2009. Would any one care to assist in developing this project??

Also working on having a really big game next year against some "names".
