WELCOME TO THE GRFC LADIES SECTION!!

The newly formed GWRFC section has grown from strength to strength since their re-launch in the 2006-07 season.  The team now boast a healthy playing squad of around 15-20 players to choose from.  These players range in age from 15 to over 21 and a bit :) But we are always looking for more!

In their first season, the ladies entered and WON the SRU development league which allowed teams to field players of all levels of experience with the emphasis being enjoyment and learning. This meant that the ladies got promoted in to the Ladies National Division 2, and even though the level of rugby is now a little bit higher, the emphasis on fun, learning, improvement and partying remains the same!

As the name of the Grangemouth Ladies team has grown, so have the invitations to some great days out. These included playing in the 125th Melrose 7's tournament in 2008 which had a great after match 'atmosphere', and a regular trip to the Isle of Mull 7's which involves a little rugby, themed fancy dress, many drinks and camping on the pitch!

Still Interested? - GREAT! - Training takes place at the club on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7pm.  All you need is some outdoor wear and preferably a pair of boots.  There is plenty of rugby kit lying around the club should you need some.  There are separate showers/changing rooms at the club for your use.

The women's section is a very important part of Grangemouth Rugby Club and are made to feel welcome.  They are actively involved in the club, supporting Saturday matches and taking part in social functions.
